Personal Profile
Dr. Cesar Llanos Ldo Vet, MVetMed, DipECVDI, CertAVP, MRCVS
I am a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. I graduated from the University of León in 2013 and, after a year working in New Zealand, moved to the UK where I spent five years in first opinion practice. I then completed a rotating internship at Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service, followed by a diagnostic imaging internship at Southfields Veterinary Specialists, where I developed an interested in neuroimaging.
In 2021, I joined the Royal Veterinary College as a diagnostic imaging resident and subsequently stayed on as a lecturer, a role I have held for the past two years. I greatly enjoy teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and am currently completing a certificate in veterinary education at the same institution.
My research focuses on veterinary neuroimaging, with contributions including studies on jugular foramen syndrome in dogs, traumatic atlantoaxial hyperflexion in cats, and the first reported case of diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis in a cat. Alongside my clinical and research work, I have a particular interest in MRI protocol optimisation. Looking ahead, I hope to pursue a Master's or PhD in neuroimaging.
In my free time, I enjoy travelling with my partner Sara, a veterinary neurologist and spending time with our two cats, Miso and Greta.
