Personal Profile
Dr. Tatjana Chan, DipECVDI, BSc
I am a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
I completed a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology at the Technical University Graz (TU Graz) and a degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna (Vetmeduni Vienna), Austria. I then moved to Zurich, Switzerland, where I completed my doctoral degree in collaboration with the Children’s Hospital Zurich, focusing on rare metabolic diseases in newborns.
Following this, I completed an internship, a postdoctoral position, and a residency in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Zurich. I am currently a Senior Clinician and Lecturer at the same institution.
My research focuses on veterinary neuroimaging, including contributions to the assessment of ADC sampling strategies in large intracranial lesions. I am currently investigating neuroanatomical variations in cats and dogs, with a particular focus on variations of the septum pellucidum.
