Personal Profile
Dr. Adriano Wang Leandro DVM, PhD, DipECVDI
I am a European Diplomate of the European college of veterinary diagnostic imaging and German board-certified specialist in veterinary diagnostic imaging.

I completed my veterinary medicine degree at the Universidad Nacional (UNA) in Costa Rica and went on to pursue an internship and a PhD in veterinary neurology and neuroscience at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover (TiHo Hannover) in Germany. My PhD involved research into the use of diffusion tensor imaging as a diagnostic tool for evaluating spinal cord injury in canines.
I specialized in diagnostic imaging through a residency and postdoctoral position at the University of Zurich, where I also worked as a senior clinician and lecturer at the same institution. I subsequently returned to TiHo Hannover to continue in the role of senior clinician and lecturer.

I am a board-certified veterinary radiologist (Dipl. ECVDI) and have dedicated most of my research to veterinary neuroimaging, with a particular focus on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which continues to fascinate me for its pivotal role as a diagnostic tool.
